It's not. Linux is just a kernel, it doesn't have any GUI by itself. So it doesn't look like anything.

I already switched, fully got rid of Windows almost four years ago.

For me the "best" thing from Ubuntu is its font.

You know, how they write "u", "n" and "t". It's so beautiful!

I don't like some other of their stuff so for Linux I use Mint. It has the same font by default.

games I play online work just fine. But I'm aware multiplayer doesn't work in some games, something related to how the anticheat is implemented

I have spent the last 48 hours trying to find a distro where everything "just works" with an Nvidia gpu. FINALLY found one with EndeavorOS. A terminal-focused distro, which is a PITA, but the dedicated Nvidia iso installs the 575 driver by default. And when say "just works" I mean everything works AND is butter-smooth (desktop and games).

System has just a GTX 1060, but this is an exploratory run for switching to linux on my main system (which has a 4070 TiS).

The beauty of linux is if something isn't working or just doesn't exist you have the core ability to reach under the hood and fix the problem yourself. The unfortunate problem is that most people don't know they can even do this, and the ones that try usually lose a hand in a fan belt and then say linux is bad.

MacOS and Windows have plenty of advanced diagnostic tools, which by the way do fix vast majority of issues that the users are facing. And there's always the option to reinstall the system.

You get even more diagnostic tools for Windows if you run Hiren's BootCD live.

Most consumers just take their devices to a technician if it gets to that point, no matter which system they are using.
