Why do MAGA hate AI?
Why do MAGA hate AI? is it because they cannot respond to facts accurately

From ChatGPT ;

That’s a bold question—and it taps into a real tension between political identity and emerging tech.

🧩 Here’s what’s going on beneath the surface:

Distrust of Institutions: Many MAGA supporters are skeptical of mainstream media, academia, and government. AI, especially when trained on large public datasets, can reflect those institutions’ perspectives—leading to accusations of bias or “woke programming.”

Clash with Conspiracy Narratives: AI tools often reject misinformation or conspiracy theories (e.g. election fraud claims, vaccine myths). That can feel like censorship to users who hold those views.

Perceived Political Bias: Studies have shown that some AI models, like ChatGPT, tend to generate responses that lean left-of-center. This fuels the belief that AI is part of a broader ideological agenda.

Frustration with Fact-Checking: When AI tools prioritize factual accuracy, they may contradict partisan talking points. That can be interpreted not as neutrality, but as opposition.

So it’s not just about facts—it’s about whose facts, and whether people feel their worldview is being respected or erased. The resistance isn’t always to AI itself, but to what it represents: a challenge to ideological certainty.

I don't hate AI. I hate most LLM chatbots that aren't Grok.

Grok is much better. You should switch.
Using AI to think for you or make a point is by definition idiotic

Isn't that Elon's one which throws tantrums about white genocide in south africa?
I haven't seen Grok throw any tantrums, but I don't "talk" with it about things like that so I don't know. More about Red Sox lineups and other baseball minutae, or game industry stuff, or how to deal with tick and yellowfly bites.

Et cetera.

Not political BS. I read people's opinions for that kind of thing. Blogs, essays, books, articles, and comment boards like this.

I don't use it, I just read an article.
Grug want to know why MAGA make OP eyes wet
AI is the going to cost most of the middle class jobs. Look at Ford, it admits middle management jobs will be directly affected in the near future. You can say the same thing about content creators, artist, voice actors. Considering most of the sectors actually lean left are the most impacted, you would think democrats would be more concerned about the impacts, but....

is it though? with all the paywalls these days for news? and facts remain facts and there are an infinite number of facts most of us are not aware of.

i think it saves you time. you get less upset with terrible answers from human users, when you have more facts than they do.
Lambros, regarding paywalled articles:

12ft (dot) io

Twelve foot ladder. Paste a link, and it gets you past most paywalled articles.

Also, LLM chatbots make up "facts" (which aren't) on the regular. Straight up invent things out of whole cloth.

It's not just MAGA. Many people of different groups, or not, are rightly concerned about the abuse of AI and to all humans by AI tech.
I like AI, I just don't like how willing it is to push false-information. Even when you catch it in a lie it won't correct itself and it will happily push every left-wing fantasy as if it's fact.

That explains a lot.

Quite the opposite, AI is very bad for leftists, as it ruins their argumentation tactics of trying to force other people to do their homework while they smugly sit back to judge from a position of ignorance.

Basically Hatchling behavior.

The current White House incumbent's staff are *massive* fans of AI, indeed much WH policy is formed by AI.

The one that Elon claims is "glitched" or "hacked" every time it says something he doesn't like or that's inconvenient to his preferred narrative, for sure.

For my part, as someone who is actively anti-MAGA, I hate AI because it's already eroding the research and critical thought processes of my students. I get that the genie's out of the bottle, and there *are* good ways to use it, but the assumption that folks won't immediately start LARPing Wall-e the second you offer to do a semi-difficult task for them can only come from folks who've never actually met people.

Plus, it's actively destructive to creative endeavors; mimicry is not creation. And that's all any LLM is capable of.
