Should the United States stay out of global affairs?
During times of peace, Europe demands the US mind it's own business.

During times of turmoil, Europe demands the US fund every global initiative Europe starts.

Should the United States mind it's own business? Or should it continue to live action roleplay as the world police?

We, and our allies, have an incentive and duty to protect our interests. We also should help with negotiations, establishing treaties, and other cooperative efforts.

We should avoid creating wars, disregarding sovereign nation rights, and deporting citizens of one country to another country.

I think it would be better to focus more on the continent of America, rather than trying to "project" power across the globe.
Either the West and America shapes the world to be something more positive for ourselves, and also all of humanity too, or you allow the worst regimes to shape it to what they want it to be.

America should simply do better and return to promoting secular, liberal democracy, free trade, economic and political freedom around the world.

Would you like to order a mass deportation of Islam from your country? I'm sure we can work something out if you want to prevent the rise of a theocracy within your borders.

You'll pay for the wall, though. We aren't exactly running a charity here.

The U.S. should abandon the E.U.

They provide us nothing. Constantly argue with us. Speak out against us.

Bye Felicia.

Agreed, cut off the dead weight and let them fend for themselves as the regional power they are.

In what world has that happened? You are the one begging for help, like for your war in Afghanistan, and still you lost it. Fight your war against Iran by yourself now.

Europe doesn't demand anything. The USA either wants to be a world player or it doesn't. But, to my mind, having influence over the world is what made America great. And when the people are complaining about China taking on that role, is it entirely wise to step aside and let them?

The problem is "secular, liberal democracy, free trade, economic and political freedom" largely depends on how much $$ you pour into your elections. We had a really, really close call back on 11/2024.

Americans have convinced themselves that their involvement in world affairs is some kind of charity work. They literally forgot why they're rich lmao.
