Known as the "Jesus of Siberia", an ex-cop turned into dressing and claiming to be Jesus Christ, started a cult.

Many of the followers, mostly families, flocked to him in "Sun City" to receive his teachings of reinsarnation, veganism and harmonious human relations.

You aren't allowed to eat meat, smoke, drink alcohol, or even swear. You must stop using money! They donated him all their money.

He manipulated and exploited his followers for free labour and money, since 1991.

Getting to the point of adults and children dying because they didn't receive medical assistance. As illness in the cult was considered as punishment for the inability to stay in harmony with nature.

Follower quote: "He radiates incredible love! He told me we had to follow two laws. It was like an electric shock, like bells ringing."

Follower quote: "No doubt about it, mate. Definitely the Son of God."

Thousands now live in the remote corner of Siberia, without their spiritual (cult) teacher.

If someone wanted to start a cult claiming they were the next Jesus they'd certainly not make any of the choices this guy did, as those are all counter to all that is good(especially veganism).

I'd start the cult of GabeN

all followers must worship Gabe Newell and praise him as the GOD he is

the tactics would be: I'd promise people who join that they'll be able to play Half Life 3 and then just push the actual date of play further and further and ask for money for continued development of the alpha build

If they don't need money in that cult, why donate it all to him and not a separate charity? Should have been a red flag for a rational thinking individual right there.
