What if we could say everything we wanted if it wasn't violent in the year of our snacklord 2025?
Were the 90s and 00s really that bad online?

There were speed issues. And when you connected there were problems of the connection dropping for no reason. We're much better off these days, except for whomever is running Valve's datacenter.
Idk because I wasn't born in the 90s. But what I do remember is windows 2000.

Like what? I can't speak my mind online like I could in say 1999, so what do you want me to say? Entrapment stuff?

you should say what it is you can't say, then your problem is solved!

I can't tho, because I will be punished, but how can you know what I would say if I wasn't under pressure of punishment?

Doesn't that sound strange to you?

You can just make a burner account.
It was a lot more authentic. There weren't the multiple layers of insidious manipulation, "irony" and dishonesty that we have now.

That seems like deception. As long as you aren't violent you should be able to say what you like.

It was it was a wild west of sorts of ideas and freedoms, I just want a time where people could say things and feel about themselves cause they thought they said something wrong, without a governing hand telling them they are wrong and I feel like thats why we've gotten so bad in these years.

The only real difference between then and now, is that now there are not people out there randomly spamming gamer words into a mic or chat and everybody giggling about it, lol.

Nope, before people just said what they wanted when they were angry and you got over it, now you get angry you get punished and you get angrier over it and it builds.

Why can't people say gamer words? Control?

You cannot tell me that the internet wasn't more peaceful during the xbox360 era than now, there is such discourse now its wild. Is it more people on the internet? Or just being caged to expectations?

Learn to expand your vocabulary I guess.

Outside of laughing about using gamer words, nobody took anybody seriously that legit used gamer words when they were angry. They just ended up being the target of ridicule because of it.

But why did they get banned? People are soft I guess.
