Videogames Europe goes to war with Stop Killing Games; Board of Directors is filled with people from EA, Take 2, WB games etc
You are the carbon the elites want to reduce, yet you are also the product they want to milk.

The 21st century is best defined by the term "corporate conflict of interest".

it's funny how they said this initiative would harm their ability to make profit out of the products they'd remove - what? xD

Am I correct if I assume that these game studios/publishers that are against it are planning to make live-service games?

100% correct. Tldw in the first video, the argument Videogames Europe makes is that they require the right to end the existence of entire catalogues of videogames the moment they stop earning sales because money.

It doesn't even matter if it's a single player game. If it stops selling, they must be allowed to pull it from sale to make more money, by forcing a new single player game on would be customers of the delisted single player game. Doubly so if it's a live service singleplayer game.

The Warcraft 3 remake is a prime example of this behavior.

a war?
I actually fear that while the intent is good, the result won’t be.
Meh
The greedy corpos will do what the greedy corpos always do and lawyer and semantic their way out of it through loopholes and workarounds.

Remember EA and their: It's not "gambling"... It's a "surprise mechanic". :steamfacepalm:
