INTEL VS AMD – NEED OPINIONS/EXPERIENCES

After using my current PC for years, I'm looking to buy a new one that will last me several years, and I also plan to give my current one to a friend. I've read and heard that AMD has improved significantly compared to Intel, so I'd love to hear your real-world opinions and experiences.

My goal is to be able to play demanding games that come out in the next few years, at least at medium quality.

In summary, I'd really appreciate it if you could comment on:

Performance in games and demanding tasks
System stability and reliability
Temperatures and power consumption
Is the price-to-performance ratio worth it?

My current PC:

Motherboard: Z270 KRAIT GAMING (MS-7A59)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.20GHz
RAM: 16GB 2133Mhz

Intel is in a bad place right now, I would go AMD on the cpu, NV gpu.

AMD is good, Intel is trash.

basically this. intel's cpu's just aren't good at the moment. it's not even a "not good as" situation, either. intel's products aren't good at all right now.

I won't buy another intel CPU after the screwed everyone with the 13th and 14th gen chip defects... it's never worth buying a lemon.

Intel Arc B580 or B770 are great cards at reasonable prices. My next build will have an Intel Arc.

bill gates is too busy complaining about how women in africa are increasing the cases of aids and telling everyone how he's going to fix it...

for real, he ran an ad on youtube about it... he's "doing things"... I guess.

Luckily, I didn't experience it myself, but I did hear about it from several people close to me. Thanks for reminding me

I've never used a Intel GPU and the only GPU's I use are made by AMD since I use Linux and BSD (Open source Drivers and ROCm for Open R1)
