Sounds like Israel won in Syria
They got the regime change they wanted

"Al-Sharaa, who led the opposition forces that removed al-Assad in a lightning offensive last December, has since become Syria’s president."

"The Trump administration and the European Union have since lifted sanctions on Syria."

"Sa’ar also reaffirmed the Jewish state’s positions, emphasizing that “Israel applied its law to the Golan Heights over 40 years ago.

“In any peace agreement—the Golan will remain part of the State of Israel,” he said."

the Js just can't stop causing trouble everywhere
I thought Russia was supposed to protect syria from the west, they made all this noise about it.

Sounds like that amounted to nothing.

Funfact: The current President of Syria had a $10m bounty on his head because he was the leader of al-Qaeda's Syrian branch.

The Russians beat cleats back home the second it was clear which way the wind was blowing.

Turns out that invading Ukraine is eating up a hell of a lot more manpower and resources that ol' Vlad likes to let on.

We're still playing the old "enemy of my enemy" game.

Worked out super well when we armed and funded the Mujahedeen fighting Russia in Afghanistan.

And again when we armed and funded Saddam when he was fighting Iran.

You'd think we'd learn, but the American electorate (and therefore our leadership) likes nothing more than to "look forward and move on" when the past is inconvenient or embarrassing.

Don't forget funding ukraine after ww2 if we needed them to fight the soviet union.

Ukraine was part of the USSR up until it collapsed. There was no "independent" Ukraine in the immediate aftermath of WW II.

There is now--and to be clear, it should stay that way.

Well the Military Industrial Complex need even more maximum profits from weapons sales, so why not lobby the govt, so it makes the same mistake over and over and over again? :lunar2020thinkingtiger: Consequences & collateral damage be damned in the name of profit, lol :steamlaughcry:
