I like DS9 more than Voyager and Enterprise but slightly less than TNG.
DS9 season long plot arches were a nice change up though from the standalone styles of previous entries in the series.
That episode in general is kinda goofy though, haha.
i liked some of the writing in all of the different series, but i much prefer the ones with more advanced systems and weaponry.
if only to forget temporarily that we are still hitting eachother with sticks on this planet instead of creating a galactic empire that uses singularities for infinite energy.
Oof, I tried to watch Enterprise once but I just just couldn't get on board with the idea of Scott Bakula as the lead. I think I bailed on the second episode. Idk, I may have to give it another chance one day.
Agreed on Voyager and I really liked Janeway a lot but I'm really digging DS9 and Sisko. I really like the way Sisko handles situations so far...
Like at the end of the previous episode, The Passenger, they had the bad, murdering alien's consciousness contained in a small disk and when the other alien requests for it to be given over to their custody and Sisko agrees they immediately destroy the disk with a phaser shot and Sisko just sorta nods and lets them go without a word.
I feel if this same situation had happened on TNG, Picard would've gotten angry and given a 2 minute monologue about how humanity has risen above such displays of barbarism(while ignoring the fact that the poor dead alien was a psychotic serial murder, who arguably deserved the justice he got.) I'm glad Sisko seems to be shaping up to be more of a realist in that way.
It's a thing that comes every now and again with Sisko. Season 6 of DS9 has what is pretty much the best episode of any Star Trek series. Think Andor but for Star Trek.
