All I can say is I've been darn lucky.
We will all get there. Some sooner, some later, but it's gonna remain the inevitable..
Disadvantages of old age - Everything starts to hurt or ache. Simple things are no longer simple. You walk around the house in slippers. You forget things a lot. You have the reaction times of a tortoise.
I noticed a long time ago that the disadvantages now outweigh the advantages. Welcome to old age OP!
Haha thank you! I am glad I am not alone in this lol.
I am resting a cold can of soda against my cheek for now
The other thing I get more than I would like is just sometimes I'll just be walking and my knees will decide that they would like to extend a bit from their normal position, a popping sound occurs and then its painful to walk.
The most frightening thing for me is when I am even older, is breaking my hip. That's what claimed my grandpa.
I hope cyberpunk 2077 rolls around sooner than 2077 in terms of the cybernetic implants lol
Define old. Anyway I feel mostly like in the twenties.
However, my back causes me severe pain during certain activities.
Also still full hair.
Getting close to 40.
I remember screwing up my lumbar when I was around 16. Just fell backwards right on that area. Two or three permanently herniated disks there
Sometimes I bend down and feel like I am just going to end up faceplanting on the floor
I have full hair. Like a bear. That kind of David Hasselhoff level fur on my chest lmao
Lol I haven't exercised my jaw in that manner for many many moons.
When you said too old, I thought you were talking about maybe your 70's or 80's.
Close to 40 isn't old, OK it's not young either, but that's beside the point. Come back in another 30 years OP, you think you're old now, wait until you start to creak every time you move, something to look forward too
For the time being, I will keep deluding myself that I am not slowly deteriorating.
I guess I will also have to try to balance staying active and taking it easy a bit better
