Why are there regional differences with the McDonalds menu or food prices?
I reside in Japan and what is offered in their McDonalds isn't available in USA, for instance: cheese, bacon & potato pie (shaped like an apple pie but replace inside with melted cheese with bacon and potato stuffed inside) or sides like edamame & corn bowl that is around ¥300 or ebi fillet (similar to fillet-o-fish but replace with ebi which somes in 2).

I've visited Filipino McDonalds and they have spagetti or chicken & rice (although Jollibee is better), they have what call "silog" bowls which only appear during breakfast (there are 3 varations): mushroom pepper steak & egg, longanisa & egg and sausage with eggs. I think regional differences with the menu is derivative of local food culture and taste.

There's also regional pricing with McDonalds, like what is considered overpriced in USA equates to a entire feast in Asia (like $36 is steep in USA for barely anything but it's plentiful in Thailand: filling up 2 trays full of food for that price) It has to do with mininum wage, purchasing power from USD makes prices in THB or JPY seem "cheap" but they aren't for locals.
