"Retro" Gaming
I just typed "retro video games" into Amazon and the only stuff I saw was knock off multi consoles, emulator systems, PlayStation 5 games and Nintendo switch games. There's clearly a vernacular problem with video games that needs to be cleared up...

"Modern"
*Phone games
*Switch 2
*Switch
*Wii U
*3DS
*PS5
*PS4
*PSP vita
*Xbox (whatever it's called now)
*Xbox One
*Win 7/10
*Multi systems/emulators/multi carts/knock off consoles/blah blah blah... All that crap.

"Classic"
*Browser games
*Game boy advance
*GameCube
*Wii
*Sega Dreamcast
*NDS
*PS2
*PS3
*PSP
*Xbox original
*Xbox 360
*Win XP

"Retro"
*NES
*SNES
*64
*Game boy/Game boy color
*PS1
*Atari (the whole family)
*Sega (the whole family)
*DOS
*Win 95/98

Stop calling everything that's older than a year "retro".

you will claw my use of the word "retro" from my cold semantically dead hands
Retro is a subjective term, you mentioned PS5 games, but in fact PS5 released 5 years ago, for someone who is 18 years old right now, it's like playing something he played when he was 13 years old, you might call it a stretch but everyone experience their lifetime in different ways, some faster and some slower, depends how much things happen in their life.

To me when I played Minecraft at the age of 16 was retro, because everyone around me stopped playing it when I was 13.
xbox 360/Wii is not classic.
I AM NOT OLD
I AM NOT OLD
Your loose definition, thanks for nothing dude
Anything older then 10 years is retro.
Witcher 3 is retro now.:steammocking:
The definition of "retro" is something new, made to look old. So modern games that try to meet an aesthetic of something like an NES game would be retro. Actual NES games are not. They are classic, vintage, but not retro.
