I dont know if its a distraction, or maybe everything that goes on the Internet is a distraction from the harsh world. for those that dont have the nerve for it, this distraction maybe the only thing keeping them from self harm.

I don't know if its a distraction but I think its fair to question what we are being told. I mean from a simply logical stand point it doesn't make sense. You have two people who were convicted of trafficking, surely they had to be trafficking to someone. They also have hundreds of videos in evidence and you're telling me they can't id anyone? I'm not a conspiracy nut but that just doesn't add up. Maybe they are playing a technicality and there are a bunch of clients but their names aren't written down on paper in an official list.

I think that's less about Trump and more about the media. Trump is the only thing helping them cling to any sort of relevance so obviously every word out of his mouth is going to be front page news for them.

YES! DISTRACTIONS! THAT SIMPLE! If we can imply something with some false information odds are people will completely forget about their previous interest and become obsessed with their need to prove something. That's the principle of "prove me wrong." Disagreeing or not accepting their argument will keep them distracted FOREVER! We don't have to admit anything to prove or validate them yet many feel we do which is why we can keep them busy with that or those types of distractions. They would be TOO busy wasting time with that to share and spread damaging or threatening information. "Keep them busy" or "Keep them talking" BUT ALWAYS MAKE SURE it's NOT important, a WASTE their of time.

No, a distraction would be "breads and circuses". The administration is too busy taking a sledgehammer to everything that actually TAKES AWAY from "breads and circuses", thereby actually bringing MORE attention to the things going on behind closed doors. Part of the problem of a fascist and/or authoritarian regime is that things actually STOP being efficient and keeping the masses sedated and placated and start bringing too much attention to the wizard behind the curtain. Which is why even most intelligent dictators avoid angering their people. As Machiavelli said, "You may rule through fear or love, but NEVER make your people hate you."
