What the deal with these "point farming" comments/posts from trolls
I don't get why so many people chalk up troll's behavior as this means to gain these useless steam points... I think they are just terrible people who want attention no matter if it's good or bad. I don't think these people really care about the useless steam points they gain from trolling, it's more so about gaining that attention they lacked during their childhood development years. Is there really some use to these points because as far as I can tell it's purely for profile cosmetics. Why would people go out of their way to troll for these points and not solely the lack of attention they got from their parents growing up?

Emotical Reasons :thehuns:
A better question is: what's the deal with people STILL falling for them?
They want attention. Just like people on YT that spam first or begs to get his comment pinned.
Nobody bite
The better question is "why bother?"

You mean the spammers posting LGBT rage bait on game announcement threads?
What is the deal with ppl making long posts on OT for no reason?
How else am I supposed to have 200,000 points?
To get a reaction out of people is what they really want
The same reason anyone does anything and the same reason you and I am posting... utter boredom.

I mean they are useless points, why not give them away to collectively ♥♥♥♥ on someone who deserves it? My question is what do the trolls truly gain?

True, but is the negative attention really worth it that much to these sad individuals?

Pretty much, the same people who just spam the most repulsive/illogical opinions that are clearly fabricated to gain attention
