(not reality dont panic)WAR HAS BEEN DECLARED!
Because it looks to be both a horribly and wonderfully hot day I need something to do while i avoid work.
So here is this thread.

Alternate Reality.
Maybe you are you or maybe you are someone else.
War has been declared it is going to be big.
What role do you choose?

Rules of this thread :
No :I am not joining any military waah waah . = Then do not post.
Yes : You can choose any military fiction or real and any role within it.

Example,
As this big and terrible war has been declared, I choose to serve in Rico's Roughnecks!
I want to be a citizen and do my part!

or

I could do with drinking more cups of tea, so I think I will join some Artillery.

Or

You should get the idea by now, any fiction / any military.

Who do I choose?

I always thought I would like to work in military intelligence. Going out and talking to the local players, reading up on the history, learning about what's really going on and turning that into useful intel for someone else. I'm not imposing or aggressive enough to kick down doors or kill people with my bare hands, so I would be best utilised making sure those guys have the right information about what's behind the door.

The Roughnecks are for meat heads, best best division is the one Doogie Howser, was in.

The Psy Corp and other organizations like it will in the end, eventually control humanity.

where do I fit in when a war broke out,
since I write a lot, if my words are any good, I should put a sense of good and just into those who would fight for me.

now, lets not talk about writing and a sense of good and just, where would I really be fitting into the military.

I have seen lots of video about war, they would always try to describe war as random and chaotic. and I played many video games to know, I had to die hundreds of times to be good at these game, if any good at all. and of course, a soldier can only die so many times before he became traumatized and cant move at all. even if science can learn to revive him.

maybe I will be the characters in Sarajevo Assassination,maybe the assassin, maybe the one got shot, all fairly easy job, and it got the war going alright, at least what the book says.

So a propaganda / morale publisher / reporter.
Very useful, war correspondence very important.

But if you were to be put into a more violent role, then you doubt you would survive and therefore you would become an assassin / or be the assassinated.

You might like the TV series remake called Day of the Jackal.

Medical field mixed with the Intelligence / psychic / theory of manifestation bureau I would guess then.
I agree, those are likely to control replacing the religions and state with their 'ways' and governance.
