Are Western countries actually deemed unsafe for citizens?
I'm mainly talking about the crime rate (depending on city or nation for that matter) being higher in English speaking nations than in both Japan or South Korea, and the fact that "leaving iPhone unattended in public and no one steals it" or "dropping wallet full of money to test people's honesty" isn't possible to do in both US or UK as it'll get stolen within a blink of an eye.

Even in Japan, some people leave their doors unlocked knowing that no one will break in as the crime rate is low. Try doing that in both US & UK, hell no. It's because of shooting, breaking & entering, intrusion, etc. The contrast is this: both Japan & South Korea are homogenous while US & UK are melting pots regarding their population demographic which is the true reason.

Why bother answering sincerely when you're going to delete this thread anyway? Is this a bot?
Why do you think western countries are unsafe, OP?
This is just naked propaganda to promote a racist narrative.

Here's a fun fact - most forms of crime have gone down massively for decades in the US and UK alongside rising diversity.

In the UK you'll often hear people talk about how safe the past was and how you could 'leave your door unlocked, especially during the blitz when everyone came together and no one committed any crime at all!'. In reality burglary was actually vastly more common, in the past in general, and the moment street lights were turned off for the blitz the burglary rate skyrocketed.

Japan's method to crime prevention is if you get accused of something they will hold you in cells and put you through degrading treatment and ridiculous rituals they will also keep you in detention and try to find ways to prosecute you if one thing does not fit, they will find something else and keep you detained for a very long time.

South Korea is a very spy orientated.
no place is safe. no matter where you go, there's always the possibility of falling down a flight of stairs or tripping over your own shoelaces and cracking your skull open on a rock. danger, danger everywhere. danger lurks within you, too.
Oh yeah, absolutely the most dangerous countries in the world, that's exactly why so many people want to live there. They're all thrillseekers, you see.
OP, you need to work harder at getting better information. You have clearly been wasting your time listening to right-wing idiots.
I won't tell you that bad things can't happen, but I can tell you that no one I know has had to deal with any sort of violence or criminal activity, that I am aware of. I see things on the news, like everyone else, but all of the people in my family, and all of my friends are doing just fine.

There is no other place I would rather be.

Don't worry, I'm always watching (and judging) you and everyone else all year round! Ho Ho Ho!

yeah i live in a real city in the US and do NOT lock my doors......no im not saying what city as you dont need to come here.....
I don’t believe that everything in japan is so hunky dory when the country has it’s own mafia, the jakuza. And you can live with unlocked doors in many western countries, it’s certain propaganda pushing that narrative.

Western US is not the same as Western UK.

And Western UK is not the same as Western Europe

And Western Europe is not the same as EU member states.

Nothing is as simple as most Steam Forum posters believe it to be.
"Deemed" by whom?
I'm SURE somebody, somewhere opines this. Maybe many somebodies.

But if some pleb somewhere, "Deems" something, so what?
nah, sorry Santa Klaus... recent statistics, especially in germany have proven what the issue is...

even here in a not so big city (not in germany, cuz I ran) they sold weed ten years ago at the train station... today it´s fentanyl
and it is not the native populace doing both the selling and the buying in most cases
