Because historically NASA has never provided anything of value. Every supposed valuable contribution from "NASA" actually came from another source, and now NASA cannot even effectively provide the main thing it is known for, space exploration, as competitors do it better.
Right now NASA is a black hole. NASA has always been a black hole really. For example Peter the Dolphin, where in the 1960's NASA spent a couple of million dollars to fund a team of researchers getting high in an Italian mansion while watching a woman have sex with a dolphin, because that will somehow apparently teach us to understand alien speech.
MAGA also loves Trump because he's cutting money to that 'woke communist queer' organisation called NASA to stop them 'turning space gay'!
There is no contradiction there at all, it all makes perfect sense!! /s
starts major wars in Middle East.
Trump : promises to send people to Mars....
I am all for supporting NASA, but it needs to be more efficient. It's become slow, expensive, and difficult to justify. Maybe it's time to form a single world space agency?
There actually is no contradiction though. MAGA is made of more than one person, with more than one set of priorities. However even if it was a monolith there still wouldn't be a contradiction as huge amounts of NASA's budget are simply wasted. NASA could cut the waste and still actually provide space exploration services. They won't, of course, because the waste (and more importantly the waste getting into people's pockets behind the scenes) is the point of the organisation.
How about the option where THEY pay for it then?
Funny how THAT isn't an option.
And the answer is simple ... 37 Trillion dollars in debt. You can't keep throwing money away and expect a money tree to grow in your backyard. ESPECIALLY when the money ISN'T YOURS.
Time for some people to grow the ♥♥♥♥ up and realize you can only spend so much of other people's money before there is no more.
Anyone who is against Trump cutting the budget doesn't belong touching my tax dollars. I know what being in debt means.
Healtuchare, education, NASA, food stamp, you name it. Question, who the F.A.Q. is getting those money? The riches? You magas make me sick.
MAGA as a cult blows in the direction of Trump's wind, MAGA republicans maintain incredibly high approval ratings of Trump no matter how many times over he contradicts himself, fails or doesn't even try. He promised landings on the moon and Mars in his first term and failed utterly.
What waste? You think roughly HALF the entire NASA budget is "waste"?
