It's not that free will is an illusion, it's that we were born in a world where many generations existed before us and made all these rules, some good, some bad. Unfortunately, where you are born can also determine how much freedom you have.

If you live in an advanced, first world country, be grateful and enjoy the many freedoms you DO have, because there's a lot life has to offer. Don't dwell on and bang your head against the wall about the things you can't control.

Nobody does, but I think that's the point of this thread. If you do something, did you choose to do it, or do you think you had the choice and were always destined to do it.

If free will does not exist then it does not make sense why "the dark side" tries so hard and why everything boils down to some form of mental trickery.
