There is a “realistic possibility” of war with Russia within two years.

Finland has bomb shelters for 4.5 million people. The US doesn't have that.

The majority of cold war bunkers have been decommissioned and public vaults haven't been built for a nuclear fallout.

Only the rich have private bunkers and vaults. How can the common person prepare?

Leave the capital and live in the countryside, sustaining yourself with a personal farm and an electric generator. To be honest, I'm already prepared for the worst, but given my location, I unfortunately won't die instantly.

The US has the best missile defense of any country and is way farther advanced then the missiles that would be heading for us. The chances of the US being actually hit by a nuclear missile is miniscule.

It's impossible to shoot down a nuclear missile travelling 15,000 and both the Russian and Chinese hypersonic missile research and development is ahead of the United States.

Very true, unfortunately. Based on what I have been hearing, it gonna be a lot sooner than 2 years. As being in Connecticut, I would be totally screwed as the closest emergency evacuation and safe zones is in New Hampshire, lol....

Hold on.

Does Connecticut not have farms?
