From the little bit I've seen of the gameplay, it reminds me of Super Mario RPG/Paper Mario, with it's active turn based mechanics.
I'll play it eventually.
But yeah most likely will win the game awards unless snoy has any game like idk silent hill resident evil or whatever
And Ghost of Yotei should come out in October, might be another good contender.
Exp 33 have a pretty solid chance at best music though.
Then again, I cannot think of a single other good game that released this year so far.
In six days Undermine 2 comes out.
Both will be more fun than Clair Obscur.
Except nobody will have heard of them because, like Supraland, and many other games which should have received accolades for greatness, the devs aren't in the Big One-eye Club, and so they won't get promoted by every game journalist, website, and "influencer" on the entire internet.
Yes, there is a Clair Obscur:Expedition 33 one-eye promotional poster. Because of course there is. And why not 32? Oh, of course. Must use club symbolism.
Just like music. You can play what the industry spoon-feeds you, or you can look for true greatness outside their narrow club-member offerings.

Can't be in the Club without the obligatory one-eye shot.
