Windows 11 is crap. Windows 10 is great.
I used 7, it was great, I avoided 10 for a few years, but when I got it and disabled most of the spy crap, I never looked back.

Windows 10 is likely my most liked OS that Microsoft has created.

I will avoid Windows 11 and just use Windows 10 LTSC for 10 or so more years, with security updates, unlike Windows 10 home/pro and so on which ends support this year allegedly.

If you love Windows 10 and want future security updates when support apparently ends this year, just get a copy of LTSC.

You'll have to download a few things such as a media player, as it does not come with the garbage home/pro versions come with, but otherwise, it's a great OS that will serve you well.

Wonder how Windows 12 will go?

If 11 is any indication, 12 will probably be cloud computing that breaks every three days.
🐧
I miss XP
I see it like this:

XP, 7, 10 = Same great OS, evolved.
Vista, 11 = Garbage.

12 will hopefully continue 10's legacy, whereas 11 is clearly another go at the lame vista OS.

People hated 10 until 11 came along. With 12, people will just move their hatred over to it and suddenly 11 will be great. You lot just hate whatever the newest system is. I've seen this every release for a long time now.

I don't know a single person who likes Windows 11, or who hated Windows 10 after the first year or so.

From my experience, people hated 10 because of the spyware nonsense installed in it, more than any real issues.

Whereas Windows 11 is just a dumbed down OS clearly created by people of the 3rd world.

People upgraded to Windows 10 for direct x 12, windows 11 however, has nothing to offer similar to this, which renders it useless basically. There is no DX13 in Windows 11.

Windows 12, I suspect, will be fine aside from a few hiccups like 10 had - with the people in power trying to spy on everything and all.

I liked 10's pre release candidate, so speak for yourself.

I'm also quite fond of Windows 10, although I don't think it is my most-liked Windows OS of all time it was definitely a fine OS.
Not a huge fan of Windows 11 at all. I'm forced to use it for work but I'd never willingly use it on my personal computer. Have been dabbling into Linux a bit and will probably (mostly) take the leap onto it for my regular use with a Windows installation on a secondary hard drive or something.

How do you even get a LTSC licence, anyway? As far as I am aware Microsoft doesn't sell those to consumers.

DX13 may not be a thing, but Microsoft is working on a DirectX pipeline dedicated to Nvidia's new texture compression scheme they'll be implementing in their GPUs. DXVK, Proton, Vulkan, Linux may be behind on this unless AMD has their competing feature set ready to go in time.

Every new iteration has the same topic.
Usually, but it's always generally valid.
