Be interesting to be able to insert yourself into a single player game wouldn't it?
There are all these single player games that let you design a custom character to play single player story campaigns, but what if there was a way to upload a photo of yourself to the game and then have a game AI translate that into a character appearance to use in the game instantly?

I think it'd be kindof interesting really to be able to make yourself a character in the game, especially for games played from a third-person perspective.

What do you think?

. . . . no

I play video games to have fun, not see myself getting stalked by Silent Hill's naughty nurses.

I think players will likely load someone else into the game, the trick is for the facial movement working in tune with different faces. it will be a good feature to have in games.

in this game copying world, I doubt any company would want to invent the feature into their games, not knowing fully what it could do, and have someone else copy it easily.
Tbh I'm excited about the concept of full dive games. Albeit the tech may never exist in my lifetime.
That's already possible through modding.
my skyrim world with mods? Yup

everyone wishes to play skyrim as a 200-300 pound person that has low physical fitness and gets upset when words they don't like are used.

Did you get consent from the single player game first? :P
Heh creating a playable character with whatever pics you upload to the game? That is kinda old i mean rainbow six vegas sort of old.

I miss that game, would have bought another 2 copies again on steam if only bugisoft wouldnt have killed the servers for it.

More recent games with such a feature but in 3rd person would be idk the ufc games?
Tbh if full dive were available I'd definitely hop into a survival craft or a mmo with a massive comprehensive crafting system. As I'd be one of those players who'd basically just spend all day collecting materials and crafting.

Considering that tons of games entail a lot of situations where you die - the idea that this topic is getting at would probably be best suited to people who get off on the idea of their own self dying or at least being mutilated.

Hey kids! Check out this new game where you can upload your photo and watch yourself get stabbed in third-person by monsters and villains!
Ohoho! Look at that! It's an animation of me dying! That could be you too!

gameboy color camera had minigames where you took photos of your self and put them on characters and things.

that the thread creator hasn't discovered what modding is, yet.

while rather macabre in its delivery, the point is undeniable, lol.

Now there's an idea. If you can play as your crush, you'll probably be a lot more emotionally invested in keeping them safe and not dying during gameplay - especially if they make the death sequence really brutal, like they scream in pain and cry as they drop down and shout out your name and ask why you didn't keep them safe.
Yeah, you're not going to let that happen a second time. lol

...although we know realistically that's not how people would actually use this feature...
