I thought if anybody tried to spy on me they'd be bored senseless.

It has been confirmed big tech companies spy on people to send them more accurate ads.
What do you mean?! I get spied on all the time! Naughty people are always flying spy planes and satellites over The North pole.

Because everyone is constantly spied on, and the biggest buyer of your info is probably your gov, using your own money to do it, aka tax dollars.

Legal loopholes & lobbyism (aka "legal" political corruption / bribery).

Because the government can access that data. The companies do all the work for them.

Much like how tech was doing the govs bidding during covid. Censoring people that question the narrative.

You got it, gov not allowed to spy technically but company is allowed to spy. So govt lets company spy and buys data

Because, because..
Imagine.
Imagine that you could be earning money by having the party interested in that information that the other parties already know.. Despite having to do nothing for it. And despite them getting knowing it in a due time anyway,

The thought alone is very pleasant, isn't it?
Other than that.. I wouldn't know.
All I care about is how it gets to be used. That thought kind of worries me.. As it awokens the pessimist inside of me, even though that's just my bad habit for overthinking everything. :ritonaworried:
All it takes is ai voice fake
Birthday, some extra info

And someone calls your bank and empties your goodies

Governments don't need to buy info about people, they already know pretty much everything about you.
Is having principles such an alien concept now?

Because capitalism. I don't think trying to find out what kind of product people want to buy is that much of a problem, though.

Because any Ism. Socialism would wanna spy on people to make sure they aren't wasting money or bleeding the system. Europe is full of spying on people, specially trying to crush right wing parties.
