Personally, I think that if you're feasibly able to take care of an animal you should be allowed to keep it as a pet. Doesn't matter what animal it is, if you're able to meet any and all needs of said pet you should be able to keep them as part of your family.

Which pets are part of, obviously. They're not property, they're kin.

As to what my answer would be, I'm partial to cats, mice, rats, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons and foxes. All but one of those my landlord would not permit me to have in accordance to my lease and three of those are not permissible to be kept as pets in the backwards and regressive state of California.

Just one more reason why this state I live in is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and why I would love to be able to relocate at some point.
