Duke Nukem 3d back in 1996 for PC.
GoldenEye for N64 back in 1999.

Early GTA games were something I played before Socom as well. Man, it has been so long
I played 'hide from the flying bottles and plates, and try not to step in broken glass' when I was 4.
Graphics and immersion were great, community and gameplay loop was ♥♥♥♥. Did get the Severe Depression Achievement 10-20 years before most people though.
