Meeting Forum Folks in Prison

People often express interest in meeting up, but when I actually make the effort to show up, only a handful, maybe 3 out of 50, actually are in prison. It makes me wonder, what keeps people from showing up?

I just read the plot for the series ... he must not have been very good at getting his brother out of prison... getting convicted of a crime to get inside of death row to break his brother out ... bad plan if the series lasted 12 years.
