It removes bad influences, bad impressions. One less place to encounter and be reminded of such. Maybe Valve decided they would like to keep their customers and attract more potential rather than lose by offending. Wouldn't be worth it for a FEW LAME ADULT games.

so rape games are bad but murder games are not? they did not remove all adult games

not only that i can still find plenty of games with rape And incest all in all nothing changes not only that how many Gamers are crying at these games being on here almost none so they would lose nothing as with them here they lost no one and only have grown

These games were never supposed to get through the AI censors in the first place.

It is Valves OWN FAULT for not using Human QC, relying on AI because those types of games have been banned since the beginning.

When Valve used humans for QC review, this game had to remove a blackout audio-only rape scene (2017):
