As far as I know, it is forbidden on Steam to give your account to someone else or to bequeath your account, even to family members. Maybe it's a bit different if you have a family account setting, but even then I don't think so... This is probably simply because Steam would like every potential new player to buy “their” games themselves (again). More Money for Valve. But I also don't know how Steam can check who of the family is sitting at the computer and has logged into the Steam account. If its different IP Adress, steam will send e-mail and ask for password, if you write password, everything should be okay again. If you go to the store page for very violent games, I am sometimes asked for my date of birth, I think if you simply change this date, then younger relatives could also continue to use the account at some point. Hmmm, there are a few former Steam friends of mine who don't seem to be active anymore since the Corona pandemic (but I can't see if they play, but I see that there is no other change on the profile and no new screenshots), I would like to know if these people are still alive and how to find out.
