How Much Do Games Distract You from What Matters?
As someone who has been playing video games since 1997 on the Sega Genesis, gaming has been a big part of my life. From my perspective there is a lot to be gained from playing video games, learning, entertainment, experiencing compelling stories, etc.. For as much as I like gaming as a hobby, it doesn't crack priority for the things that matter in life to me and ultimately are a distraction. Not something I personally feel guilty about because I believe entertainment is important for people's mental health.

What keeps you gaming? Do games stretch farther than a brief form of entertainment for you and is escaping reality a priority?

But games matter.
I like games so I play them. Nothing matters then that.
Some games can exercise the brain.:magic_wand::100percent:

So games don't distract me from anything that personally matters, I suppose they do keep me from communal efforts - but the community made that the more desirable option anyway.
My local community hates me so I build my own communities within the games I play.
