Trans-exclusionary radical feminism

It's usually a term that describes 'feminists' who attack trans individuals, or individuals that *seem* trans. Terfs think it helps women to scold others for not being woman enough

Terfs are by and large also homophobes who despise gay people such as lesbians or gay men

The acronym stands for trans-exclusionary radical feminist like Cee said. They don't believe in intersectionality with the trans-sexuality movement and don't consider transsexuals as women who are deserving of the female specific privileges that feminism seeks.

It's technically supposed to be offshoot of radical feminism which is a movement that started in the 1960s that views society as male dominated and in need of revolutionary reform to end the oppression of women, however in recent years there has been more emphasis on the trans-exclusionary part.

Started as lesbians who didn't want to be forced into relationships with men.
