How Dangerous will AI actually be?
1. AI is going to take our jobs?

-I can see positions like accounting. But even medicine, police, and construction.

2. AI content will blur the lines what is real and fake.

-I can definitely see this as a huge issue into the future

3. Convenience stores are going to be powered by AI
-This is related to #1. If AI is so advanced say in 5 years, imagine walking into a store and not needing help because you are neuro-linked with the AI when you walk in. Need help? AI is there to assist. No need for a cashier. You can walk out with groceries and you are immediately charged thru your phone.

I could go on. I can imagine the auto, horse back buggy discussion 100 plus years ago. People back then thought that the horse back buggy was never going to be replaced. And look at how far we have come. I think AI is going to be so much quicker.

I also see young people engaging with AI much quicker than older adults. What I've noticed, I work at a convenience store part time, most young people don't care about customer service. Not like older adults. They don't buy newspapers also. They all have smartphones though. And I can see AI infused stores taking off int he near future, as the old make way for the younger generations. I can see this in 5 years tbh. Maybe sooner. But who knows...

But will AI replace all jobs and destroy America. There are a lot of videos on YouTube proclaiming that this is going to happen. I don't think so, but who knows.

Chatgpt is pretty cool though.

been saying this for a while BOTS ARE COMING for everbody position
The only real concerning thing I have for AI is people using it to think, but thats about it. As long as we dont make it too advanced and make it dangerous, we should be fine.
I dontnsee any solution but some kind of socialism where the company owners with jobs and ai workwrs pay for the rest of the unemployed to live
What people are calling "AI" is essentially just a program that reads forum posts and then re-words the information in a more concise way.

If that's your job, then it probably should be replaced by AI.

We know the obvious but you're HOPING they don't and never do.

Just an overreaction. The most i see AI do is make art and give somewhat accurate answers to basic questions that can easily be googled and thats it. We're not going into the Terminator timeline whether or not you want it to happen.
It's going to end up running our world and taking care of us better than we can do ourselves.

It is a threat to white collar workers, and once it replaces those jobs, people will have to do blue collar jobs instead. On the positive side, agriculture jobs can hire former human resources to pick the fruit in the field and do something actually productive for once.

good enough for that

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwa-eKTJFL0&ab_channel=DrRYeap

so AI convince couple old people to travel 300 km to find nice hotel, but later they discover the place is not so great

so AI can scam and hack, if you use your phone to pay your stuff or transfert $$$ you may be in big trouble

if you use cash and alway take all your money in your bank account you may be fine

Not yet, just keep hoping they never do. I'm SURE EVERYONE alive NOW will be dead before it could ever happen. I mean HOPE for the sake of humanity the programmers never do something that foolish while trying to prove something or show off.

What if at some point in time someone corrupts the programming for malicious reasons?
In computer games it can be deadly. At least if it is programmed to do that.
But I am not sure if that's advanced, because it seems simple enough to do. Because people have been doing that for a very long time.

Yes, you're just ignoring it. Hoping it never happens. :steammocking:
