NBA 2k25 was garbage. Most modern games are garbage.
My experience with this crap game:

Noticed game is $130 or so for the "All-star edition".
I asked a question on the NBA 2k25 steam forum thing and it got deleted.
I then purchased the game...

The same 2k moderator moderates the nba 2k forum, as the wwe 2k forum, and so on...

It was like 120gb or something absurd - probably due to the unwanted women's section of the game, which no doubt took six months of resources away from the main game, to appease people nobody wants around in the end ultimately.

After downloading the 120gb game, I entered the game to be told shaders must be configured or whatever - which took another 30 minutes.

I then entered the game, and was immediately thrown into some kind of dream sequence with zero instructions on how to play, and scored an A rating as I am pro, clearly.

Anyway, the game's performance is terrible, the graphics appear to be the same as 2k20 or something, and it was a huge waste of time.

I got a refund within 25 minutes of playing.

The park is also crap.
The amount of VC-begging is ridiculous - wanting you to pay for VC at every corner.
Anyway, not buying another 2k basketball game til things change majorly.

DOWN WITH GARBAGE GAMES AND THE HIJACKING OF ALL THAT IS GOOD!

That is all.

Whatever's going on with the CoD games, and their garbage launcher, is also ridiculous.

Buy 1 game, have to download 3 others, what?

The launcher is crap, a giant flustercuck of advertising and nonsense.

I don't think you think properly.

Why are you attempting to troll clever people?
Did you hit your head? :steamdeadpan:

Everyone has a different opinion...

I like 2k25 and that is because I remember how NBA games used to play. They were totally unrealistic. I can also only speak for PC. The game looks great IMO. PC players finally got the new upgraded engine and yes I can tell the difference. I also only play quick plays with realistic sliders, 10 min quarters as much as possible. I've also they have included the little mannerisms of both old and new players. Karl Malone talks to himself when shooting free throws. Steph with the mouth guard, etc. I also only play 90s teams as that is what I grew up on. Just last night I played the Jass 97 vs Sonics 96. Detlef Schrempf (if you don't know who he is look him up) hit the game winner with 2 secs on the clock. Was great!

As for the shaders, its only when you first start the game, or when your graphics card is updated. That's about it. IMO, its not that big of a deal.

As for 2k26 I'll wait probably a month before or if I purchase the game.

The economy is owned by AI that trade with eachother; the games are just an excuse they use to politically charge their trades.

They'd be happier if they got their money from the game their slave module dropped out as a byproduct, and no human being ever made them invest in a customer service algorithm or complained about repetition or pointlessness.

I like NBA 2k25, but the amount of extra nonsense in it kills it in my opinion.

Simply greed, nothing more, that is the issue on their part.

The VCs are total greed. I get that, I don't do any of that. I'm not the target audience anyway. But you have to ask yourself why do they continue to offer VCs?

1. The target audience, under 30, are still buying VCs.
2. Its very VERY profitable
3. Its a business.

If people weren't buying VCs, or if people took a stance and stopped buying VCs or even the game we would see a very different direction from 2k. You can't blame 2k for using this model because its very lucrative. In the end, its all a business.

I don’t watch the NBA, but agreed with modern games being not as good as the older games which had passion

Besides indie games, gaming today is super expensive. They have budgets today that rival movies. And so, this is why we get the same old remake. With great graphics. But major game companies today do not like to take risk.
It's almost everything new, especially 2K products. They're such a garbage company that sells spyware disguised as games to take your data and sell it for profit on the side.

I'm playing stuff that's on average 20 years-old now just to get as far away from the slop as possible. Modding old titles is the last bastion left for people who haven't yet completely given up on gaming.
Space Marine 2 is good and that’s a modern game

Atp, I'm just so ready for MWIII to be separated from COD HQ launcher. This launcher is such a pain to go through with on PS5 since its beginning
