Do you even know what they are saying in Korean? What if they were aggressively trying to compliment you or motivate you?

Competitive gaming has become the national sport in SK. They have a culture now where they take their gaming as serious as the Japanese did with Bushido.

in league korean players are notorious for their toxicitiy, and many will flat out refuse to play with (or actively troll) if they have a foreigner on their team out of principle.

Koreans are one of the best gamers in the world when it comes to Fighting and MOBA games. For FPS that title goes to Europe.

Probably something like that. They are one of the prototype nations for a technologically advanced dystopia. Lots of depression, very few relationships leading to a declining birthrate, overworked citizens, rampant plastic surgery to conform to a mainstream beauty standard, mandatory military service- the list goes on.

I hear a lot about this in Japan. It's famously associated with Koreans, even has a name:

火病 / 화병 (hwabyeong) (fire disorder)

It's very strongly associated with the Korean population in general, that they get angry immediately. A lot of Japanese people are averse to Koreans due to it.

Dunno if it's societal or genetic.

I don't know but everyone who reads them seems pissed off all the time!
