ET Atari 2600 it was so bad but it made me tear up from all the laughing.

no game has made me cry more than nier replicant/gestalt. the original more than the remaster, i admit i prefer papa nier over brother nier. the entire story is an engrossing tragedy in which everyone is sympathetic and there are no true villains. the entire game is a case of "things could have been worked out without violence had we just talked", but instead everyone suffers and dies.

Sad ending for Zulf at the end of Bastion hit me pretty hard.

One of the ending of SIGNALIS hit pretty hard too. Kinda left me with a depressing feeling of emptiness for a while.

also "lisa the painful". the entire game is also a tragedy filled with terrible people making awful choices and hurting one another.

also the ending of silent hill 2. marys voice actor genuinely broke down and began crying while voicing the final dialogue, and it is heart wrenching.

similarly, the car ride scene in silent hill 3 is absolutely gutting. and you can tell heathers voice actress similarly was beginning to choke up as she read her lines.

The ending of Final Fantasy VI may or may not have gotten me a little misty a time or two. Specifically Shadow’s part.

But if i'm being serious then probably pokemon gold/silver/crystal because the game ended and it was also rumored that it was gamefreak's way of saying goodbye and ending pokemon forever.

None. Edith Finch pulled at heart strings though.
