Democrats have dealt a major blow to the GOP stonewalling.
Vance will step up as the next president of the United States.
Democrats won't let this scandal go.
Gotta love the left and right always fighting, If both sides actually agreed on some things, Stuff might get done.
it's just a distraction from other more pressing matters, but peeple love it
These are the files that Donald Trump is willing to insult his own supporters over.
The House Oversight Subcomitte has approved a motion to issue a subpoena for the records held by the DOJ.
Right now there is no subpoena because they still have to prepare it; therefore no, Pam Bondi most certainly doesn’t need to release those documents.
At the very least until the subpoena is actually issued.
And if anything, it is thanks to the republicans who (as usual and in stark opposition to what happens on the other side) cross the party line and agree on common sense measure when someone actually deigns to propose them.
But it’s interesting that this 11th hour surprise “all thanks to the Democrats” (who have curiously chosen to not divulge anything related to Epstein in the 4 years Biden was president, and yet accuse Trump of corruption because the entirety of the playbook has not been rendered public in the six months he’s been president) came a week after Trump and the DOJ already move to have the courts authorise the release of those Epstein documents that are still sealed.

"Are you still talking about Epstein? The guy's dead. Weaklings! Only bad people talk about it! I don't want your support anymore!"
-Donald Trump
I love MAGA trying to bury their own conspiracy theory from their supporters while still trying to feed them the narrative that they are "the most transparent administration ever".
Characterizing it as democrats alone as issuing the house subcommittee subpoena is also a little bit disingenuous when three republicans joined them in an 8-2 vote[www.nbcnews.com].
What would happen if this was a 5/5 vote? Nothing happens. Plus it's more republicans voting to release the information than not. At least 3 out of 5, assuming the subcommittee is split evenly between the parties.
the dig site where they found that caveman frozen in a block of ice was within 500 km of a place where epstein once took a leak! coincidence!? i think not!
What a bunch of scum. Not that they were anything but that.
First of all, grand jury testimonies are not what we talk about when we mention "Epstein files". Secondly, go ask lawyers and they will tell you that grand jury proceedings are by design meant to be secret even after the conviction; it is an integral part of rule of law & judicial system that there is secrecy of the grand jury process and as a result, the judge would simply follow the law by denying such a request.
What Trump administration is trying to do is trying to release something that they know in advance cannot be released in accordance with the laws, so they could shift the blame away from them to the judge - "hey we tried to release it but could not do it". Even though, grand jury testimony isn't what people are asking for, and even though that cannot be released, the actual Epstein files can.
