I remember building some stuff in UDK back in the day. Exciting times, but no longer, so it seems.
Every game (I know of) that "upgraded" from 3 or 4 had worse performance.

it's definitely got lots of sexy bells and whistles but I've not been blown away by any game that uses it. so far.
The Oblivion remake is probably my favourite but that's mostly due to the game itself.
their finances are tied up in the engine, and they do the best they can with it, but in an ideal world they'd be using anything else.
