itch who?

Also this sounds like a huge lawsuit in the making. Just instantly taking everyone's games away without warning.

Obviously though, if it went to the supreme court, the republican majority there would vote in favor of the censorship again.

Well if you stop and consider the NSFW tag, there are going to be employers who actually want people to stop playing games on their phones, (listening to music/podcasts) and focus on work only, or loss of productivity due to social media.

There is no way a proper employer would allow distractions from work on their work supplied machines/network.

Not too different from banning smart phones or devices from classrooms so teachers can teach.

Or entertainment venues putting on live shows, wanting the audience to be present rather than record the whole thing for later.

So no, I don't think it will stop at erotic content, it'll cartwheel into all entertainment/distractions. Or they may try to do that, they will always push to take away your things.

Internet is experiencing its authoritarian arc. I guess enjoy watching trillions in value vapourise.

Authoritarians don't know how to make money, but they do know how to steal. :2017stickytube:

Well. :corncob::firedemon: See how it all shakes out in the end.

It should be a good thing. It means God is no longer allowing evilness to thrive on these platforms. Hopefully this also carries onto other platforms that present similar content for purchase. :yazdhdwink:

They will allow adult games again after they go through every game, to make sure only things payment processors deem you allowed to like, you child, for your own good are allowed to like.

Pray the deal doesn't change further when they want more gone.

Its really making me believe in god when showing skin is evil, but writing checks for bombs is saintly. The drawing are the real evil here, not the starvation of people in gaza.

The Devil surely is the evil one here.

Its so important the drawings can consent, while the people stuck in an open air prison have no choice in leaving.

Truly, this is what people should dedicate their life to, protecting grown adults from drawings. 1s and 0s on a screen.

Now all the Republicans who spent the last 9 years whining about corporate censorship of conservatives are delighted to support corporate censorship of people they don't like.

Shows how full of ♥♥♥♥ they are.

I strongly dislike porn and I think adult games are stupid. It's long overdue that people should learn that these things can become obsessions and be extremely harmful to certain people. The incredible normalisation, widespreadness, and denial of any type of risk is disturbing and kind of disgusting.

Despite all this, the very act of arbitrarily restricting something from being sold despite it being legal makes this "payment service" the very opposite of what a "service" is meant to be, rather becoming a "payment barrier", or impediment. It's really self-destructive for a "service" to refuse to be a service based on their own arbitrary terms.

They are well within their right to do this, I'm sure, but if something can legally be sold, it's in everyone's best interest to allow it to be sold.

Again, I really don't like porn, don't agree with it, but I don't like the precedent this will set, neither do I like the hypocrisy that they're more than okay with processing payments to gambling sites and such.

Can't wait for Valve to start removing games from people's libraries that their paid for, and for people to continue going "eh whatever it's fine" or "so what" like the bootlickers they are. I'm thankful to own backup physical copies of many Visual Novels I like, because you know it's gonna happen.

Next on the chopping block might be GTA, Fallout, COD, Skyrim, Stellar Blade, Bayonetta, DMC, Stellaris, Postal, Killing Floor, Halo, etc.

"Interesting times" ahead :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Yes I still think its stopping at niche things I dont like. This will just lead to seperate shops for such games. And they will 100% use Visa and mastercard just like other adult only stores.

Sounds pretty hypocritical of him to be so selective.
