What makes a multiplayer game hard?
Wasn't sure where else to ask this. But I see this comment made in every pvp game I've played. That the game is "easy".

I guess why this confuses me, is that to me, a game is easy, if it's easy to win. Which in a pvp game is just determined by who you play against, and not the game itself.

Could someone explain to me what makes a pvp game "easy" or "hard"?

PVP being player v player, could be an mmo, fps, hero shooter, sports game, w/e.

DOTA2 - your team m8s make the game hard

Games that require teamwork are difficult because the overwhelming majority of the human race is about as dumb as a brick.

I gotta say, it's the one thing that TF2 does better over L4D. At the very least you aren't tied down to your team to get anything done in TF2, but good lord playing L4D1/2 with stupid people / people who bought the game on sale is the most miserable experience you can ever having playing a multiplayer game.
PVP is a term for mmorpg's, the advertisers made it so it just applied to every game.... Every game since pong is PVP, you play a game, you have an opponent...

Yeah pretty much the cheaters and throwers or the advertisers make the game harder to play.

About 75% of the matchmaker is not in your favour, but it's fun to find good teammates sometimes.

Why rambo random is fun for me and million of other online players.... you not going to go to those individuals wedding or guest star on a pod cast with them, but the five - 60 mins you play with them is kinda fun and painful at least.

Why they should have games with anti cheats that charges people who made wealth from the game, charge them with a broadcasting licence or charge them more if they bring people into the game with them. But they won't do that, so you stuck getting smoked or making the good better....

Tryhards, cheaters and hackers.
No game is too hard, it's just a game with rules.

If you are cheater bastard loser, then you know what you did, you cheater, you a lair it's on you.

If you played the game honestly then you know why you lost fairly.

I can only assume and get the email later saying I was wrong to call you a worthless cheater... I can only assume there is some other back door play you used to track someone there there so you can set a trap to beat someone else unfairly.

having to work with a team. if all of your successes and merits and built on your skills alone, the game is usually far more enjoyable. having to rely on a team, especially of randoms, is usually frustrating.
What makes electronic engineering fun in gaming and "esports" is when they bring in a brand a new anti cheat with a toggle switch, so it has full control over your hardware as well being deeply embedded in the crap software they try to sell you today.

Most likely be funded by Saudi's at some point, so I can laugh at you.

teamwork is about relationships, you need to be good at those kinds of things.... same psych abuse they pushing in most games these days.

So far it's sounding like it's just other people.

This @OP, cheaters both blatant and closet cheaters are the blight of PvP in general.

Yeah more like being called a liar by some remote nerd somewhere. Or they just have better stuff, the machine hums along when mine just sputters and crashes, life's not fair. Give me 6080 with the Ryzen 10 AI X3D 20 petabyte cache fiber to spinal cord to beat you.

yeah, I have found myself playing a lot more single player games because of this. I'll never understand it either. I don't know how people can get a sense of accomplishment from winning with cheats.
