If reality is just a simulation, who is running the code?
And what lies beyond the simulation’s boundary, if there even is one?

If i told you, i would be hunted down by GabeN himself + Earth would get Exterminatus, to ensure there's no witness :lunar2019shockedpig:
I am.

This whole silly thing you call reality is just my ultimate test to see who is Naughty and who is Nice, when you "die" you really just wake up from the simulation and have your Naughtiness calculated to determine how long you spend in The Naughty List before being allowed into Santa's Workshop (paradise).

God, obviously.

And Jesus is the code.

It's a good question.

Astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson said in a 2018 NBC News interview that he estimated the likelihood of the simulation hypothesis being correct at "better than 50-50 odds", adding "I wish I could summon a strong argument against it, but I can find none".[48]

However, in a subsequent interview with Chuck Nice on a YouTube episode of StarTalk, Tyson shared that his friend J. Richard Gott, a professor of astrophysical sciences at Princeton University, made him aware of a strong objection to the simulation hypothesis.

The objection claims that the common trait that all hypothetical high-fidelity simulated universes possess is the ability to produce high-fidelity simulated universes. And since our current world does not possess this ability, it would mean that either humans are in the real universe, and therefore simulated universes have not yet been created, or that humans are the last in a very long chain of simulated universes, an observation that makes the simulation hypothesis seem less probable.

Regarding this objection, Tyson remarked "that changes my life".[49]

time-matter itself is the code.. for when your in an infinite dimention universe.. matter to you is as easy to code with as making a drawing or using bits to us..

time, matter the laws of physics all are ilusions... and it is God running this ilusion..
we are beings once like God (as plato said we are fallen gods)

with not just our bodies a prison. but the very limitation of 3 dimentions and linear time the very universe a prison...

a temporal simulation.. eternity is not perpetual time.. it is the absence of it..
and we either prove ourself to be reinstated in how we were created in gods image aka "gods" with a small g ourselves.. and reunited to live with GOD..
or be forever tossed aside.. in hell.. where btw satan does not rule over.. it is his eternal punishment .. and any human who does not prove himself worthy to be restored in his life here will be tossed in for eternity too.

Paradise is slave labour on a production line?

no one knows. if universe is simulation it's like a game from the characters perspective. characters can't know the player
A simulation of what? You are just parroting meaningless slogans.

but WE are not part of the simulation.. we are created to Gods immage... we don't HAVE souls we ARE souls..

that have been cast down and trapped in this simulation to deem us worthy for reinstatement or permanent rejection in our true reality.

and we do latenty know this.. and God will reveal Himself unto all who sincerely seek Him.
The Truth CAN be known.

"we are created to Gods image."

LOL, so God looks like Homer Simpson.

We could just be a single bit or byte in a highly sophisticated machine.

When there's Terabytes and such, We're quite irrelevant.
for those into scify..

think the q.. what if you took a q.. and locked in in the shape of an amouba.. removed his powers as a q.. but kept his essence intact.. would he still rememver being a q.. no the amouba has not the fysical datastorage for that... still latently that shape would not feel natural to him..
and that drop is still not even close by how far our fall has been q may be free to move within the limits of our universe even able to alter some of the code.. but even they cannot escape from the code itself.. see the computer the code runs on.. they at best can alter their own prison not escape it..

or how acended beings in stargate can deasscent (again still limited to our universe like q.. our prison is much more severe)

or how a person trapped in a matrix.. or simulation trope in many a scify series... can become aware it is not real... but their fysical body in the real world may be long gone...

or like being trapped in an interactive movie.. to us the movie as a whole excist we can freely move from any frame to any frame.. and between all different endings and paths.. but if you were trapped in the movie even if aware of this you would be powerless to do anything but just live the linear progression of it

or how it would to us being trapped in the 2d flatworld. even knowledge of 3d would not break us free of that 2d prison we would be cast down into..

thats part of the simulation.. not of us.. we don't have souls we are souls... we already are immortal.. the body and all the matter it is made of is part of this prison aka ilusion aka simulation. that will end but we will continue.
Oh but to answer your question, Even if it's a God or something they would have to be part of a race, So it's technically alien to us.
