I use both but each serves a different purpose. Discord is used for people I really trust. Steam is all purpose; for close friends and regular people.

i really only use discord for private game server communities. not so much for vc, just seeing server population and reset times or if i needed to make a ticket with an admin.

The two are unrelated. It is designed for different purposes entirely.

You couldn't pay me to use Discord. I don't do well with huge groups of people, and small servers already have their status quo set in stone such that I'm expected to shut my mouth and let people insult me if they want to lest I get banned for talking back.

I hate discord, it has no business having my phone number as I'm not buying anything from it.
