Any way to avoid giving your phone number to email??

To keep it short i have few emails and the one i use for +18 stuff, i tried to login discord alt due to false bans but it says i need to confirm its me
Now for the funny, it never ever asked me for phone number to send like the code or whatever but now all of a sudden it does
I dont wanna give them my number so they can track me down or send me scam messages but now im locked out of that account and when i tried to give my phone number,it says it doesn't work with that number(?)
is it because i already have other email attached to it or what??
This is so annoying,why does everything need either my number or to confirm im human

also tried with qr code scan or what you call it and still got an error

Wish I could give you any solution beyond buying a cheap burner phone and using cash to buy minutes, or using one of those temporary phone number systems. you should never give your cell number to anything that you arent going to access with said cell. Rule 1 of all system security: Limits the number of access points to the minimum possible.

Your account probably got hacked (the account you are locked out of) can't you click on "Reset Password" or something like that for that account? see if you get sent an email or if ends up going to someone else.

One of the reasons why I will not be making a Discord account = They want your phone number now to make/create a new account.

A lot of bots/etc are to blame for these things needing/wanting someone's number. Avoid Discord and use something else that doesn't need your phone number. I avoid every social media platform so, don't know what their asking for from new users.

Sorry to ehar that. sadly I dont know of any, shy of maybe ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with your external I.P which may require turning in any modem you've rented from an ISP

Oh, somrthing I thought of. Talk to some friend or coworkers and offer to share the burden together next paycheck and share a single burner phone among multiple people. No loss of security since it's all in cash, and everyone gets to bypass if needed. Only use this as a last resort of course

Last I checked you dont need a phone to make new account. I also refuse to accept that excuse. Phone requirements do nothing to protect from bots and never have. And even if they did risking my security and others security in name of stopping them is self destructive and wrong

Doubt that email has been hacked in any way because i had access to it like 4 days ago when creating third discord alt,had to confirm it on email
i only have it linked to +18 sites and all are pretty much safe

uh besides no money because im lazy for a job,i have no pc or modern tech knowledge at all about these kind of stuff...
ironically have a friend for pc stuff for help but alas i only know him off discord lol

if the system just wants to make sure you have a phone, and that it's thus spying on a real person, then verifying that the email is linked to a phone is sufficient and it won't ask.

this is a very expensive thing for a phone bank to do for instance; loading every phone with an email is a chore and will bring costs up as well as centralizing digital tracks.

i dunno,it just wants to send a code to confirm probably like paypal does
but like even so,for whatever reason it doesn't accept my number,saying error
dunno if its cuz i already put the number on main email or what

ah dammit i hate discord support and their auto replies,both accounts falsely banned and on both i have personal info i put that i need

This is why I will not be playing any games, such as Call of Duty that have this annoying delay placed within the playing process. Remember when you wanted to play a game, you just turned on the console/PC, loaded up the game, and played it? No connecting to networks, no updates, no downloads, no multiplayer anti-cheat garbage, no news, no ads, no 'words of the day', you JUST PLAYED!! 😡😡😡😡😡
