So merely by asking this question the universe is prompted to make something up. If you were to go there it would make up the gist of it, and the deeper you looked into any given aspect, the more it would make up and the more tightly knit it would become. If it wrote itself into a corner it mandela effects things and partly wipes your memory if it can. When you encounter other player characters its like two bubbles overlapping or partial membrane fusion, and it downloads things into your relaity.
So for all you know, within your reality, there are no Russians doing anything at the moment. They don't exist. There isn't an entire world out there where everyone is doing something without you. How could you prove otherwise? You cannot use the mind and the senses to prove themselves nor each other.
Have to recheck the James Cook thing. May have used the reduced Hawaiian alphabet. Okay, yes I did. But I retained the letter mappings of the full 26 letter alphabet it was derived from, so W would be 900 and the okina is 800. With the okina Hawai'i = 1728, the year James Cook was born. And he was born on 11/7, one half pi (22/7). The USA was founded in 1776, which is the sum of all digit permutations of 314.

However, some Russian attitudes are "built in" due to generations of control and corruption being normalised.
We, in the West have our "built in" issues too.
We often think in terms of "good" and "bad" but in reality we're all just people.
Russians went from serfdom to industrialisation while skipping all the stages in between. They are not unique in this as many societies skipped from a medieval socio-economic structure directly to an industrialised society and all of them are having issues in one form or other due to this.
