Chinese police cars patrolling Australia
Police spotted a Mercedes S-Class in Strathfield, in the city's inner west, about 2.50pm on Friday bearing a police insignia on the doors and bonnet, the word 'police' in Mandarin and the misspelt word 'poilce' in English.

The 21-year-old driver allegedly presented a forged document to officers, claiming the vehicle was being used to transport Chinese consulate officials.

Officers searched the car and allegedly discovered a box containing 48 live rounds of ammunition in the boot.

It's just so unbelievably disrespectful to Australia as a country, and to all Australians. They openly support the Chinese government - (and) they think so little of Australia and Australians, they think that they are a law unto themselves.

They act as though we already are basically just a vassal state or a puppet state, and they don't have to show any respect for our laws, our police, our country.

Eh?

So some scumbag tries to pretend he's some kind of Chinese consulate officer, and you somehow believe that he's actually a Chinese consulate officer?
Crikey!

Why would the police be using an S-Class, aren't those the high-tech experimental ones.

It's just someone being stupid. I don't see it as country based political motive but just someone taking on an alter ego way too far; hence the toy guns.

I was a taxi driver in my student years, and I drove an S-class Mercedes for a few weekends. It had previously been used by some embassy here, and it had bullet-proof windows and swallowed a ton of fuel! :flammable: This was back in 1999 or something, btw.

It was a very comfortable car to drive... I mainly drove Mercedes since the guy I worked for preferred those (E-class), but this one - although an old car even then - was like driving a quiet space ship :lunar2019grinningpig:
