There is an island close to the shores of Brasil. This island is full of poisonous snakes, hence its name. It is located quite far from the shores, takes 8 hours by boat to reach, and is a giant rock and has no beaches. Disembarkation is strictly prohibited and will be confronted likely by the Brasil coast guard, although there are some poachers who risk their life to catch some snakes because their poison is needed in some pharmaceutical industries. This is the most dense place on Earth with toxic deadly snakes literally in every bush and especially hanging from trees because they eat primarily birds. There is nothing else than birds to eat there. Has one abandoned lighthouse too, automated, because nobody can live with so many sneaks there and the snakes enter in the lighthouse too.

There is a secret the local people in Brasil believe. They say that there is a pirate treasure there somewhere hidden in the island and the snakes are set there by the pirates to guard the treasure. Maybe century old and since then the snakes have overpopulated the island.

Science can't quite explain how is it possible to have snakes there because the island is quite far from the land. Believed to have lived on the island and at one point the island separated from the land some million years ago. Quite suspicious and explanation but how else. Must be the pirates and the treasure.
