Plus there's plenty of other sources.
My boss gives me free coffee, and he'd never give me something that's bad for me.
and good luck for usa
there is just a shortage of coffee
1 the plantations there are are often old (colinial time)
2 the price of coffee is so low it does not profit to plant new ones
3 the plantations that do excist are overused.. soil erorion... etc
4 monocultures.. the heavy industrial style has made pests a massive issue that kills many trees that are not replaced.
5 climate is changing, droughts kill many trees
6 overpopulation in coffee producing nations.. putting a higher demand on land and water for food production...
7 anticolonial feelings.. and racism against whites on the rise.. coffee is seen as a colonial product as is producing it for export
8 rise of wealth in asia, increasing demand for luxery products including coffeee
the price of a kg of coffee has gone up in the last 4 months by nearly 40% and we have no extra tarifs.... and the next price increase of 25% cant beavoided most stores emptyu shelves exept those who went ok with that extra 25% . so thats nearly 70% price increase in 6 months.
coffee was about 10-12 euro per kg 6 months ago.
now is closer to 18-20 euro per kg
we soon can expect coffee to cost 30 euro per kg..perhaps even more...
ah the We Everything Fyou
