The screaming and crying toilet he was with was utterly useless, the episode was better just with him.
Berries and nuts alone can be a pretty filling snack.
I dare you to go 3 months of winter without heat. In below freezing temperatures. You won't make it a week. You think it's easy? Prove it.

It wasn't naked and afraid or Survivor but one got to see human nature. Most people couldn't handle the remoteness of the situation. They couldn't handle not seeing something built by mankind. The turn over rate was extremely high, we usually get a betting pool for new employees to see if they would leave within the first month, if they didn't leave they'd get the betting pool.
What was interesting is they'd makeup excuses as to why they had to leave to justify it to everyone else. They'd typically invent a family member in distress and blame leaving on them. or simply outright leave and not tell anyone.
With total actual remoteness and needing to survive on their own without the ability to get help from others would be too much for most people.
There's a Bear Gryllis Youtube video on surviving on an island where they took a large group split up the sexes and put them on different sides of the island. The guys formed a good community, and were having the time of their lives. The women didn't even figure out that they could boil water in their jerry cans and I'm pretty sure had to be given a piglet for food from the producer...problem is they named the piglet and couldn't bring themselves to eat it.
But not a fan of the premise behind Naked and Afraid. Who wants to survive naked? I noticed the show doesn't take place in cold environments.
However, I do like survival, with a kit.
Do you recommend Alone?
Heh.
