Everything else is nonsense. If anything it's a trojan horse to get a unique ID and remove anonymity from the internet for good. Not that it's doing too great without it anyways.
If you thought your data was valuable before, imagine them being able to sell your identity address name and ID. And being able to definitively map you across sites.
Experts have been warning about this for years. Anyone who only starts paying attention now, just because some greasy nobody mentioned it, is a lost cause.
I am by no longer saying it's a good idea or correct, but the first youtube link doesn't even read the bill and thinks it requires online I.D. submission like the U.K censorship bill. It doesn't, in fact it has demands specifically against banning material protected by freedom of expression and only applies to CONFIRMED minors anyway. For ♥♥♥♥ sake if you're gonna use videos at least have enough knowledge to cite them and use them in actual argument, don't just spam post whatever essayist you like and go "the title says this, it must be bad."
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thank you. I am so sick of people doing this.
