Most overrated game.
Many games on Steam have overwhelmingly positive ratings that prodded me to download them only to find out it was boring or flawed in some fundamental way. I picked up BG3 (Baldur's Gate 3) on sale based on ratings and could not get past the endless cutscenes. I wasn't sure if I was playing a game or watching a movie.
So what is yours? To qualify it should have a steam rating of mostly positive or better. Or 80% or better from critics. Can be indie or triple A.

Witcher 3

I don't hate the game but the Only thing that's good about it is the story.
I really, REALLY don't like the new God of War direction.

So much walking, inferior gameplay, and yet its beloved like its the greatest GOW game ever made after GOW3 demo.
Undertale has to be on the list
Any Dark Souls
Might be a controversial pick but I think Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is super overrated. It's a good game, don't get me wrong, but people massive overstate how good it is by claiming it to be one of the best platformers of all time when that's just not the case. Hell it's not even the best game in it's series, that'd go to Half-Genie Hero.

I forgot about that one. I give to a runner up prize because of balance. I beat every boss in Elden Ring but could not beat the final boss in W3. That alone isn't a gamebreaker but what is is the rest of W3 combat is far easier than ER.
certainly not drakengard, i love my crappy little berserk expy. cutie little crappy game

Undertale. I even regret buying it for a dollar. It was so bad.
Heartbound. Writing is mid at best, game still isn't anywhere near completion after almost 10 years and probably won't be finished ever. It has been rated very highly from before the creator became part of a controversy but that seems to be changing quickly. Thankfully.
