Should it be a right to remain anonymous online? Why?

No.

But then you should also have the right to not have your data harvested by companies.

I’m already anonymous online. I don’t even use my real name on Amazon.

Does any stranger off the street have the right to stop you, grab you wallet, read your ID and write down everything on it. Then have a copy of everything you said that day, every image, every video you saw that day, including when you were home at your house.

And if they see anything they don't like, report you to the gov or the banks.

Also, they can take what they gathered and sell it to the highest bidder and never tell you that they did it.

This is what its like to apply what online companes are allowed to get away with irl examples, of how messed up it is.

Some poor guy got shot and they spammed the telephone switch line to flame the people who failed to do their job, and that was funny for a while.

Most democracies do have a document enshrining the rights of their citizens though, which is what the Constitution does. Might even be all democracies, but I didn't feel like fact checking that.

Then a legislative body, when crafting new laws, try to keep those laws inline with that document.
im 100% for universal access
Yes, without question. A human being has the right to privacy, that is to remain unobserved when within the privacy of his own business or property. At least as far as partaking in social areas. Once moeny gets involved of course not but thats a different subject
