Remember The Putterman Commercials?
In the 90s, to compete with The Energizer Bunny, Duracell launched a campaign where the adverts focused on a family called The Puttermans, who are sort of like life-sized robotic toys (that's my interpretation) and they are powered by Duracell batteries. Most of the adverts would play out in the same formula, someone uses a different battery and ends up breaking down, which is supposed to show that Duracell outlasts other battery brands.

I've heard many people say that the adverts are creepy due to the family's uncanny design... but I don't think it is. I just loved these designs and never saw them as uncanny.

That is one way to advertise batteries. Those ads are charming, no doubt about it
I find it funny that 30 years later Energizer still makes the better battery......

I don’t remember much of the 1990’s. :csd2smile::badluck:
I realised that the off-brand batteries in the commercials are completely silver, like if they're a parody of Energizer.
